●  INSPECTION & TESTING

Electrical Safety Inspection & Testing

A thorough test of your entire installation with a clear written report, so you know exactly what is safe, what needs attention and how urgent it is.
●  OVERVIEW

Know the Real Condition of Your Electrics

Most electrical problems give little warning before they become dangerous. Insulation degrades inside walls, connections loosen over years of heating and cooling, and protective devices can fail without anyone noticing. A safety inspection uses proper test equipment to find these issues before they cause a fire, a shock or an expensive breakdown.

We inspect and test the distribution board, protective devices, earthing and bonding, insulation resistance, polarity and the condition of sockets, switches and fittings. RCDs are tested to confirm they trip quickly enough to protect people. We also look for overloaded circuits, signs of overheating and unsafe alterations.

You receive a written report that explains our findings in plain language and groups recommendations by urgency: dangerous issues that need immediate attention, issues that should be fixed soon, and improvements to consider. Inspections are ideal when buying or renting a property, after renovation work, or if your installation has not been checked for several years.

●  GOOD TIMES TO INSPECT

When an Inspection Makes Sense

Buying or Renting

Know what you are taking on before you sign, or meet your duty of care as a landlord.

Not Checked in Years

Regular testing catches gradual deterioration before it becomes dangerous.

After Renovations

Confirm that new and altered circuits are safe and correctly protected.

Shops & Offices

Protect staff, customers and equipment with documented, periodic testing.

After a Fault or Flood

Make sure no hidden damage remains after a major fault, storm or water leak.

Something Feels Wrong

Frequent tripping or odd behaviour you can't explain deserves a proper test.

●  HOW IT WORKS

What the Inspection Covers

An inspection is non-invasive. We may need to switch circuits off briefly while testing, and we agree the timing with you in advance.
1

Visual Inspection

Board, accessories, cables and fittings are checked for damage, overheating and unsafe work.
2

Instrument Testing

Insulation, continuity, polarity, earth loop impedance and RCD trip times are measured.
3

Findings & Priorities

Issues are recorded and graded from dangerous to advisory.
4

Written Report

You get a clear report and a quote for any remedial work, with no pressure to proceed.
