●  CHARGING & BACKUP

EV Charger & Backup Power Installation

Dedicated circuits for electric vehicle charging, plus safe connections for inverters, UPS systems and generators so essential power stays on.
●  OVERVIEW

More Power, Planned Properly

Electric vehicle chargers and backup power systems both put serious demands on an electrical installation. A home charger can draw as much current as several large appliances running together for hours. Backup systems need careful switching so they power the right circuits and can never send power back into the grid.

For EV charging, we check your supply and board capacity, recommend the right charger location, run a dedicated circuit with correct protection and test the installation so the charger can work at its rated output without overloading anything else.

For backup power, we connect inverters, UPS units and generators through proper changeover switches or dedicated backup circuits. We help you decide which loads matter most, such as lighting, fans, the fridge, internet equipment or a home office, and design the system around them so your backup lasts as long as possible.

●  WHAT WE INSTALL

Charging & Backup Solutions

Home EV Chargers

Wall-mounted chargers on a dedicated, correctly protected circuit.

Inverter Systems

Battery inverter connections with a separate backup circuit for essential loads.

UPS for Equipment

Clean, uninterrupted power for computers, routers and sensitive electronics.

Generator Changeovers

Manual or automatic changeover switches so generators connect safely.

Load Planning

Working out which circuits to back up and how long your system will last.

Capacity Checks

Confirming your supply and board can handle a new charger or backup system.

●  HOW IT WORKS

How We Install It

Planning first means your new charger or backup system works at full capacity without overloading the rest of your installation.
1

Site & Load Survey

We check supply capacity, board space and the best location for equipment.
2

Design the Circuit

Cable size, protection and switching are planned around your equipment.
3

Install & Connect

Dedicated circuits and changeover arrangements are installed neatly.
4

Commission & Test

We test under load, check protection and show you how to operate it.

Charging & Backup Questions

Still unsure? Call us and talk to an electrician directly. There is no charge for advice on the phone.
Occasionally, with the right cable, but regular charging from a standard socket can overheat it. A dedicated charger circuit is safer and much faster.
Not if the installation is planned for it. We check your supply capacity and, where needed, recommend load management or a board upgrade.
That depends on its capacity and battery size. We help you choose essential loads so the backup lasts as long as you need it to.
No. Back-feeding through a socket can electrocute line workers and damage equipment. Generators must connect through a proper changeover switch.
